The Flow and Ebb-sweater is a thick pullover-sweater - nice and warm.  It is knitted from below and up.  The sweater is knitted in stocking stitches, with a ribbed border at the bottom of the body and on the cuffs. The Flow and Ebb has a round cast off, so that the number of stitches is being reduced on the body upwards to the neckline.  This sweater is a fun play with colors! This sweater is slightly larger than the standard patterns/designs, so that it can be used outside a thin windshell jacket or outside a thinner wool sweater.

Why have the knitted sweater hidden inside a jacket when you can show it off on a hiking instead?

The knitted model in the picture (XL) is knitted in Sandnes Fritidsgarn - 100% Norwegian wool - 50 g = 70 m.
Alternative yarn:  Rauma vams – 100% Norwegian wool – 50 g = 83 cm

Sizes:  S (M) L (XL)                                                                        1 cm = 2,54 inch (“)

Width/circumference: approx. 84 (96) 108 (120) cm = 33” (37,7”) 42,5” (47,2”)

Total length: approx. 64,5 (70,5) 76,5 (83) cm = 25,3” (27,7”) 30,1” (32,6”)

Length before cast off for sleeves: 46 (51) 56 (61) cm = 18,1” (20”) 22” (24”)

Length of sleeves: 44 (47) 47 (52) cm = 17,3” (20”) 22” (24”)

Knitting solidity/ gauge/ tension:
15 stitches on needle No. 7 (US 10,5” / UK 2) = 10 cm width = 3,9”

15 rounds on needle No. 7 (US 10,5” / UK 2) = 10 cm height = 3,9”

Important:  Knitting solidity for this design varies from yarnproducer´s recommendation because of the extent of patterns. Do not twist and tighten the threads on the reverse side, because this may cause contraction of the sweater.
